After Islamism – Political Imagination in Contemporary Iran, lecture by Fatemeh Sadeghi

On 24 June 2024, the Colloquium for Philosophy in the MENA Region cordially invites to Dr. Fatemeh Sadeghi’s guest lecture on current changes in political imagination in Iran. The lecture is online at 6 pm (Berlin).
Dr. Fatemeh Sadeghi (University College London) is a political scientist specialized in political thought and imagination, feminism and gender theories, Islamic law and constitutionalism in the Middle East. Her guest lecture will thematize the current changes in political imagination in Iran, its shift from Islamism and opening towards other conceptualizations of political life. A focus will be made on women and their striving to change patterns of political imagination and social and political relations based on principles of equality and democracy.
The lecture is taking place in ZOOM, no prior registration is required.
