Prof. Dr. Karim Tahboub is a professor of mecha-
tronics engineering at the Palestine Polytechnic
University in Hebron, Palestine. His expertise,
international experience and interest for philo-
sophical and theological questions concerning
the use of artificial intelligence make him a
unique figure in contemporary scientifical dis-
course. In this guest lecture, Prof. Dr. Tahboub
will focus on his project of a Qurʿān-based ethi-
cal approach towards the use of advanced tech-
nologies such as AI.
