The colloquium for Philosophy in the MENA region (PhiloMENA) invites to the upcoming guest lecture of Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Kaya on the academic study of Islamic philosophy in Turkey.

Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Kaya is a Professor of Islamic Philosophy at Istanbul University. His areas of specialization and interest include Ibn Sīnā, al-ʿĀmirī, al-Masīḥī, and Ibn Hindū, as well as the role philosophy played in the age of the Ottoman-Turkish modernization.

In this guest lecture, Prof. Dr. Kaya will introduce the current situation of Studies of Islamic Philosophy in Turkey in its historical context.
